Decay The Mare is a point and click horror game based in a mental institute where the main character checked himself in to change his life around, but unexplained things keep happening while you’re there.

Story

Sam is an addict who ends up in an institution named “Reaching Dreams”, hoping to kick his drug problem and sort out his miserable life. But during the first night, something goes horribly wrong and he gets stuck in an endless nightmare…

Game Play

Decay is very easy to control, point and click. First Person which I believe, gives you the real feel the developer was going for, where, you are the main character living through the endless nightmare by yourself, with things happening at every turn you take in the game. There are challenges and puzzles that you need to finish in order to get through certain parts in the game as well, this game can be easy achievements for the right gamer that enjoys these style games.

Presentation

Decay The Mare’s presentation really draws you into the mindset of the main character, Sam, the first-person visuals along with the graphics of the game its self really draws you into what it could have been like in his time at the institute. The music that is playing all the way through the game, really gives an eerie feel to it and adds to the atmosphere. I’m sure this is what the developer would have wanted you to feel while playing this game.

Final Take

Decay The Mare, is a point and click horror based, institute style game where you are living in an endless nightmare that you get dragged into, achievements are unlocked as you play through the game and as you complete different challenges.
